A hike from about 90 minutes with an ascent from 550m on around 3km.
The Schoberstein lies in the extreme west of the Hoellengebirge (means hell mountains). With 1037 m not really a giant, but have in the ascent some wonderful views over the region of Attersee. A possible starting point is opposite the parking lot N47°47.655 /E 13°32.340. Up to the Nikolaikapelle it goes relatively flat, then the way leads up in serpentines. In the last half hour to the summit the way gets narrow and rocky and requires some caution, and for sure corresponding footwear.
The Cache is however somewhat underneath the summit. If you reach a crossing, you are close to the Cache.
In the logbook exists also a number for a possible ' Atterseemountains'+ Bonuscache
(or something similar) series in 2006.
From here you can take a journey to Hochlecken (3h) up to Feuerkogel for a hiking weekend across the hoellengebirge

Heute ging es mal wieder auf TeamUp-Kalender-Tour! Dabei waren emalang!, UCB96, Garminiero und ich! Dieser Cache lag beim Abstieg noch auf unserem Weg und konnte ohne großen Umweg "mitgenommen" werden. Schöne Stelle hier. TFTC

Heute das schöne Wetter genutzt und einen leichten Berg in Angriff genommen. Der Schoberstein, hier waren wir schon vor meiner Cachingzeit des eine oder andere Mal und es ist der optimale Berg um meine ganz ganz neuen Wanderschuhe zu probieren. Das Wetter ist super und Muggels san a mehr als genug unterwegs, dennoch ist noch genug Platz am Gipfel um eine kurze Pause zu genießen. Als wir in der Nähe des Caches waren, suchte hier schon jemand, welche sich nach einem kurzen Gespräch als Bienchen heraus stellte. Ganz ganz liebe Grüße an dieser Stelle.
Jedenfalls hatten wir kurz mit gesucht und Trollman65 hatte ihn relativ schnell in seinen Händen.

Heute bei wunderschönen Wetter aufn Berg aufi. Das letzte Stück ist nicht so ganz geeignet für nicht schwindelfreie, aber sonst ist der Weg OK.Dose ist dank Brandy 1965 wieder vorhanden. DFDC !

Danke für die Logfreigabe (cache ist gemuggelt)
Die Runde vor einiger Zeit zusammengestellt. Dann war der Mahdlgupf wieder disabled (d.h. der Steig nicht freigegeben). Heute hat es mit meiner Zeit und dem Wetter gepasst. Doch dann musste ich feststellen, dass dieser Cache weg ist. Der ist wohl zu nahe am Weg - man sieht ihn gleihc von der Kreuzung. Jedenfalls konnte ich heute noch etliche andere Caches des Owner finden. Danke!
