This valley wasn't always as peaceful as it is now. A long time ago a vicious gnome terrorized the citizens of Baden: He made rocks fall down from his mountain, he caused floods and spoilt harvests, always mocking at the moaning people. But some day a clever man used a trick (a cave and spiders were involved into this plan) and got rid of the gnome. The place where the gnome made the rocks fall down can still be seen today at the "Karstheide".
The shortest access is from the west, where the road to Rosental leaves the road through the Helental. If you come from this direction you will although see the highest waterfall from Baden [;)]. Those who want to do a longer hike can combine this cache withseveral others in the area (please check the various sites).
The cache is in the middle part of the rocky area (still below the upper rock-wall). Hiking shoes are recommended. On top of the plateau you can find a nice Karst landscape (access is easy if you walk round the cliff either to the left or the right). A bit west of the giant tree that can be seen from the cache there is a small cave (not the one from the story and only for very small and thin people).
GPS-reception is rather poor there. The cache is a plastic-bottle and can be found in the left part of a dolmen-like structure (mind your head) under leaves and a stone.
Original contents: Logbook, pencil, sharpener (please leave these things there), Octopus, fairy, colibri, witch, butterfly.

Dank Spoilerbild ein rascher Fund. Während ich die drei Felsen identifiziert hatte vermeldete Nyaaac durch die Öffnung oben bereits den Fund. Das in die Höhle "gehen" überließ sie, wie vorhin schon bei der Schwarzenbergkanzel, doch wieder mir. Wir haben's heute mit "Höhle" und "gehen" ... ;-)
Bei den Cache-Geschenken findet sich unter anderem eine abgerissene Eintrittskarte für das Weisse Rössl am 29. Juli 2016. Tja, jeder hat unterschiedliche Wertigkeiten ... :)

Mit diesem Doserl hatte ich noch eine Rechnung offen - diesmal mit Spoilerbild ausgerüstet bin ich von einer Laufrunde von Baden aus kurz ins Rosental abgezweigt und habe mich ein zweites Mal auf zur Karstheide gemacht. Ein umgestürzter Baum hat wie beim letzten Mal den Zugang deutlich erschwert, aber dank Bild konnte ich mich zuerst so richtig ärgern, denn ich war beim letzten Besuch keine 50cm von der Dose entfernt, dann hat aber die Freude über den erfolgreichen Fund überwogen.
Vielen Dank für die Motivation zu sportlicher Betätigung, das Zeigen der Felsformationen & den Cache!
