Dwasieden is a part of Sassnitz. The location of the cache used to
be the site of a castle which unfortunately was demolished back in
1948. What’s left are ruins and the foundations. Further information about the castle see here: www.schloss-dwasieden.de.
Attention:
You
enter at your own risk! The nearby white cliffs allow for
spectacular views, and you’ll be able to get a good look at
Sassnitz below. For your own safety, please stay off the cliff
edges (looking up from the beach unstable overhangs and already
broken off edges are clearly visible).
The cache is hidden in an area that was used by the former East
Germany Army and is now abandoned. Attention: Many buildings are
condemned, the structures might be unstable, and you enter at your
own risk!

Bei unserem Urlaubsaufenthalt machten wit heute Dwasiden unsicher und holten einige Tradis, Mysterys und Laborfläschchen.
Da das Spolerfoto nur noch abstrakt zuzuordnen ist, dauerte es sehr lange, bis sich das Versteck offenbarte.

Die diesjährige Ausfahrt von GeoCachingGera führte uns auf die Insel Rügen. Ziel ist es , die gesamte Insel mit dem Fahrrad zu umrunden. Natürlich haben wir aus Zeitgründen nicht die gesamte Runde geschafft, wir sind nur von Prora bis Wiek gekommen. Aber im nächsten Jahr wollen wir wieder kommen und dann geht's weiter.
Im ersten Abschnitt sind wir von Prora bis Dwasieden gekommen. Unsere erste Etappe näherte sich seinem Ende. Aber hier wurden wir noch einmal in eine sehr interessante Gegend geführt. Was hier alles rumliegt...

Auch wenn der Cache seit 2014 archiviert ist, befindet sich doch noch der Link dazu im Listing von GC1BXPW. Solange er so noch zu finden ist, wird er wohl auch geloggt werden.
