Description    Deutsch  ·  English

This little "multi" has only two stages (ca. 1.4 km no circular track). The first stage is at N49°27.018 E8°40.893 and can be hardly missed even if there is no water. Look around! To reach the next stage you must know 5 things.

A=the number of layers that the well has (including the base on the ground)

B=the speed that you may drive uphill starting at the well

C=The number of the last stop of the "Gemeindetaxi".

D=The number of the tours per day of the "Gemeindetaxi".

E =2000 (in words: two thousand)

To find the next stage, calculate the following:

X=A * B * C;    Y=X-E-A*A*D;   Z=X * D-B-D/2

X, Y and Z have 4 digits. The usual rules of Mathematics apply. The coordinates of the next stage are at N49°2(Z) E 8°4(Y) (Of course you have to put the dots at the right places).

By the way: On your to the next stage there is something interesting to see at , N 49°26.966 E 8°41.140: Perhaps you did not realize but the mountain you are standing on, the Weißer Stein, is only half of a mountain. The other half is spread all over Europe changed to chalk and cement. At the given coordinates you will find a reminder of the other half’s history: Here is a shelter that has been used by the quarrymen when blasting up the mountain. Nowadays it seems to be used as a toilet, so don’t crawl into it. But mind the barbed wire towards the South of the road. It protects you from falling into the former quarry some 50 meters deep. The quarry starts just 2 meters from you, where the woods seem to be especially light.

Stage 2: Enjoy the quietness and search away from the water. Stand on the metal plate in front of the well and take a bearing of 150°. Walk some 40 meters in this direction (do not stumble). There you will find a very special colourful tree. And - as you know by now - we like trees for hiding our caches.
