On our last full day on the island, we went to see the ancient ruins near Pozo Negro. It was quite interesting, but the museum was closed, and so we wondered why the Mahos had picked a place like this for their village. Nothing much grows here, and the sea is quite a way off...? Alas, the explanatory signs in the park were missing as well - seems the site will be undergoing some reconstruction - and so we had to puzzle out the answers ourselves. This worked quite well, and we found the cache quite in the right place - and well guarded, too

Vor knapp 2 Jahren habe ich hier schon mal mein Glück probiert. Allerdings war ich damals mit einer Besuchergruppe vor Ort und hatte so keine Ruhe für eine Finalsuche.

Heute bin ich noch einmal hin. Zuerst die alten Werte überprüft und dann in aller Ruhe das Final angegangen. Und da ich niemanden erklären musste warum ich nun eine Munitionskiste im Lavafeld suche, klappe das auch recht gut.

Alles in allem ist es ein schöner Multi an einem interessanten Ort. Genau das was Geocaching aus macht. Vielen Dank dafür.

Nicht alle scheinen es geschafft zu haben...

I could answer the questions easily at home, thanks to some booklet obtained at the museum some years ago. So all I had to do was going to the final location and sign the log. That's what I thought. Then, after some looking around I prepared myself to moving around a lot of stones. But fortunately I looked more carefully and (really) saw the box.

Unser erster gefundener Multi! Der Inhalt sauber und ordentlich wie es nicht immer vorkommt. Eine Super- Sache! Danke dafür.

Wahhh also die Aufgaben waren nicht schwer zu beantworten aber die Suche nach dem Cache war eine echte Herausforderung. War froh hier Chria und Buttercup dabeizuhaben Schöne Idee für nen Cache und mit viel Geduld auch ein schönes Finale!

We visited this place at the final days of our vacation. Only few tourists were there, the museum was closed. All questions could be answered without problems. We even climbed the mountain and enjoyed the view over the stony desert ;) The big box was finally found after a bit of climbing.
