Preface:
The Bird Cache Series (BCS) is about birds and proverbs in which they appear.
For the 1st cache in the series no additional tools are needed.
Please take care and don’t do it by night!

The Cuckoo:
Ah, how lovely it is to hear the Cuckoo (Lat. Cuculus canorus) singing, which
happens actually quite seldom around these parts!
It is only here part of the year, being a migratory bird, which winters in Africa,
South of the equator.
From mid-April to the beginning of May, the distinct call of the male looking to
find a mate can be heard in our Northern latitude.
Because the female Cuckoo tricks other birds into hatching its eggs and raising
its own young, the Cuckoo has earned a special reputation in our tradition.
For instance, sometimes the term, “Cuckoo-Child” refers to a child being raised
by a man who is actually not the biological father, even if both father and child
believe they are related!
The world famous Cuckoo Clock, hailing from the Black Forest region, is another
well-known use of the bird’s name.
There are indeed other diverse uses of the bird’s name.

So, now on to the cache:
In order to get into the Cuckoo’s nest one must figure out the right combination!
Do not get confused by the information you find on-site. This information has
been planted to confuse the Muggles who might stumble upon the nest by
accident.
The correct order is C, B, D, A
I would be very pleased if the serious Geo-Cachers appreciate and figure out the
code based upon the clues I have given.

Ein solcher benutzerdefinierter Geocache ist sehr beeindruckend. Vielen Dank, dass Sie es versteckt und gepflegt haben. Die Kuckucke singen weiter. Und ein separates Dankeschön für die Bereitstellung von Beschreibungen sowohl auf Englisch als auch auf Deutsch.

Diesen Cache habe ich schon auf anderer Plattform gefunden und wir heute hier nachgeloggt. Vielen Dank für das Doppellisting.

Das kleine Vögelchen in hohen Lüftchen konnte sich nicht lange verstecken. Schon dann haben Hendl und der Schatzforscher das Doserl befreit. Zum Kuckuck nochmal.

Cooler Cache, den ich erst spät auf OC entdeckt habe - also Nachlog:
Zum Glück waren alle Informationen eindeutig und klar, so dass wir uns nicht doof anstellen mussten. Danke an den Owner für den Aufwand, den er hier getrieben hat.

Bei herrlichem Herbstwetter machte ich mich auf Vogel-Suche. 'ne Meise hatte ich schon, jetzt ging's zum Kuckuck. Zum Kuckuck! Wo steckt der nur. Mein Navi sagte mir ich bin ganz nah - aha, ich muss von der anderen Seite ran. Endlich sah ich die Behausung - wohlgezimmert für Jahrhunderte aus wasserresistenten Planken.

Versuchte zuerst mit dem, was offensichtlich war, was anzufangen. Hmm ... Schließlich entdeckte ich das was nötig war und dann piepte es bei mir in Bass und Sopran. Dennoch dauerte es 'ne Weile bis ich alles zusammen hatte. Denn immer piepte es nicht, da gab es Aussetzer. Zum Glück war es in dieser Ecke fast muggelfrei und ich konnte probieren.
Schließlich hatte ich das Schema raus und die Schatztruhe zeigte sich. Nahm aber nichts raus-tat nix rein.
DfdC - innen alles gut beieinander, im trockenen Logbuch noch massig Platz. Leider war das technische Innenleben verborgen - das hätte ich gerne mal gesehen. Für Idee und Ausführung lasse ich gerne einen Favi da.

07. giugno 2017 MikeFoxtrot ha trovato la geocache

Nach dem verregneten Dienstag (erster Urlaubstag :-/ ) gings heute mit dem Rad in die Landeshauptstadt. Stadteinwärts gab es erstmal kräftigen Gegenwind, bei der Heimreise war's dann umso angenehmer. Auch ein kurzer Regenschauer war dabei, aber am Nachmittag wurde es immer schöner. So kamen 70 km zusammen.
Am Cache angekommen konnte ich ein "verdächtige" Person an einem verdächtigen Gegenstand sehen. Es war Viola beim Öffnen der Dose , wie sich herausstellte. Die Vorarbeit war schon erledigt. Wir führten ein nettes Gespräch übers Cachen. Viele Grüße an der Stelle.

Abendliche Runde im Osten.
Hier war um die Dose herum nicht viel los aber keinen Meter Luftlinie sitzen die Gäste gemütlich im Biergarten. Keine Situation nach meinem Geschmack. Also so rasch wie möglich die toll gestaltete Aufgabe gelöst und wieder weg hier.
