Micro-cache near the River Rhine in mayence. In range of vision is the Offene Bibliothek Mainz.
At N 50° 00.746 E 008° 15.928 you will find the art-project of the american artists Michael Clegg and Martin Guttmann "Die offene Bibliothek". There they re-designed former junction boxes to a bookcase, filled initially with approximately 450 books. Everyone can avail itself generously. Without supervision. Without lending notes. Without return period. You can combine that with books, which are registered at bookcrossing.com

Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und die Logs hier und auf geocaching.com lassen darauf schließen, das der Cache nicht mehr zu finden ist. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben, so kann dieses Listing durch den Owner selbständig über ein "kann gesucht werden"-Log reaktiviert werden.

Bei meiner heutigen Runde durch Mainz habe ich diesen Ort besucht und leider nichts gefunden. Die vorherigen Logs auf der kommerziellen Plattform aus Seattle weisen darauf hin, dass dort kein Behälter mehr liegt.
Schade sagt kruemelhuepfer.

Schöner Fundort! Ich mußte mich zum Glück etwas anstrengen, um den Mikro zu finden - außerdem erschwerte das Herüberstarren eines Muggles, der auf seiner Hängematte saß, das Cachen...Ich starrte erstmal zurück und siehe da, er legte sich wieder in seine Hängematte. Brav! Relativ ungestört konnte ich dann offline loggen.
Nur fiel mir auf: die Dose ist hochvoll mit Logbuch und zusammengefaltetem Zettel!!!
