1945-46
wurde hier die Skihütte des "Wintersportvereins Sausewind" errichtet,
von der heute nur noch wenige Überreste inmitten von mittlerweile stark
bewaldetem Gebiet zu finden sind.
Dort,
auf der "Hohen Koppe", in 540m Höhe, gab es weder Lift, noch fließend
Wasser. Alle Baumaterialien wurden per Handwagen oder Rucksack hier hoch
geschafft. Bitte bedenkt dies bei eurem Aufstieg.
Seit 1973 steht die gegenwärtige Skihütte der Hirzenhainer, inklusive Liftanlage, am Eiershäuser Hang des Kurzbeul (566m).
