Stromatalites are one of the oldest fossils on earth. They were built by micro organisms. They enriched the atmosphere with oxygen by photosynthesis. Stromatalites are sedimentary rocks from a very purified layer of lime. They resemble a cauliflower. They tell of the complex life billions of years ago. Today one finds stromatalites within ranges of increased saltmixes (salt and soda lakes).

Auf einer Cache Tour mit esta<3 und Lettie86 diesen EC auch mal gemacht. War sehr interessant dort vorbei zukommen und sich die Umgebung genauer anzusehen. Danke für's hinführen.
