Description

The cache is located between the Welzheim forest national park and the Schurwald national park. It is placed near a lookout place next to the city of Schorndorf.

Be sure to check out the lookout bench located very close to the cache at N48° 47.618', E9°31.508'. Good weather provided, you have a view over most of the Remstal valley.

Initial cache contents: US MRE instant food collected from cache Pottenstein (peanut butter, apple drink, iced tea), ski straps collected from cache Hagenholx near Zurich, some tool found on a track near cache Milumil, a key mapple, an elephant, a pig, a football, ceramics.

Gemeinsam mit Filser1 in ein Wochenende gestartet, um noch aktive, alte Caches in Deutschland zu besuchen.

"Otti" gehört zweifelslos mit zu den ältesten, aktiven Caches in meinem Heimatland. Das Final konnte sich nicht lange vor mir verbergen.

T4TC, der ob seines Alters von mir gerne "geschleift" wird.

Und weil für cherry_s und mich noch ein wenig mehr Zeit vor unserem Termin übrig war, konnten wir uns auch hier im Logbuch verweigen.

Von der tollen Aussicht hatten wir leider nix, da die Realität nicht mit dem Rendern der Umgebung fertig war.

Auf der Fahrt in den Süden stand Otti als Station auf dem Plan. Um das Alter zu Ehren, lasse ich einen TB im Cache. Gute Reise.

Ein in wenigen Tagen 20 Jahre alter Cache, das ist schon etwas sehr besonderes. Zuerst einmal ging ich natürlich auf den Berg um die Location entsprechend zu würdigen. Danach machte ich mich zum Cache auf und wurde auch schnell fündig. Ein gutes Versteck, dass vermutlich auch die nächsten 20 Jahre übersteht.

Die Gelegenheit gleich noch zum Coins tauschen genutzt.
