»This old Danish cannon was placed here in 1864 by Oskar Pfretzschner, a comrade-in-arms from First Schleswig War in 1848/51, as a gift to the owner of the Friedrichsplatz.«

Impressionen

First of all:
I suggest to do this cache by foot or bicycle — a car would just be a handicap. The hike is about 0.8 miles (note it’s no loop road) and most of the time you will be more or less in the nature when you use the correct ways.

Stage 1: The cannon

The coords at the top will take you to the old cannon which is described above. At its back you will find two roman numerals graven into the metal like this: “A _._ B“. Go to Stage 2 at:

N 54° 29.(14-A)61
E 009° 3B.090

Stage 2: Direct hit!

Apparently the cannon made some hits directly into the front of that house. How many cannonballs do you count here? Note that all projectiles are at the front which is facing the road — there’s no need to walk around that building! The number of cannonballs is C.

Stage 2: Final

Walk eastwards to the traffic circle and turn left to the unpaved track which will first lead you to north and then to the final. You will find the small box at:

N 54° 30.(C² x A + 6)
E 009° 33.B31

Those who remember the operator precedence rules shouldn’t have problems finding the small box. Please keep an eye on geomuggles especially when the weather is nice!

Attention: There’s a barbedwire fence near the cache. You won’t have to touch or climb about it. Please be careful and look out for your children.
