Toller Weg mit wirklich schönen Aussichten und reichlich Himbeer- und Heidelbeerverpflegung am Wegrand. THX, Sterau & Lisi & Pauli

Das war der "Hauptcache" des heutigen Tages mit j_blue, Almzenzi und Snoerbroed.

Im Neuschnee war es eine sehr schöne und lustige Wanderung.
Die Aussicht am Turm war ein Hammer. Für mich war er ja schon ein bissi hoch, aber es hat sich ausgezahlt ;)

Die Staion 3 war heute im Schnee nicht lösbar, aber man braucht diese Zahlen ja nicht unbedingt, so war das Finden des Caches kein Problem

Dieser Cache stand schon seit langem auf meiner Todo-Liste. Heute hat es sich endlich ergeben. Stage 3 war ein wenig verwirrend aber die Werte lassen sich sehr leicht überprüfen. Sehr gut hat mir natürlich die Aussichtswarte gefallen. Die Cachebox löst sich auch schon auf aber ich hatte leider keinen Ersatz in dieser Größe dabei.

Im Rudel (Waldläufer, Coronella, Räuber Hotzenplotz und Freunde) haben wir uns weitegebildet und von den Stationen des Mondweges viel über die Kelten und deren Kultur gelernt. Äußerst interessant!! Nach einer lustigen und schönen Wanderung sind wir dann in der Hütte beim Aussichtsturm eingekehrt, haben uns gestärkt und den Cache nach einer Besichtigung des Turmes gehoben.
Danke an den Waldläufer für diesen netten Cache.

Toller Tag fuer diesen Cache. C war (schneebedingt?) nicht eruierbar aber auch nicht weiter wichtig. Sehr netter 2stuendiger Spaziergang mit dodo22. Am Weg liegt teilweise noch tiefer Schnee. Cache ist nach dem Winter in ausgezeichnetem Zustand.

Angenehmer Wandercache in einer schönen Gegend: die Ameisen streiten mit den Heidelbeeren um die Herrschaft des Gebiets.

When I read in the weather forecast that the temperatures will probably decrease during the next days, I thought that it would be a good idea to go for this cache soon. In the morning it was very foggy in Graz - not the best weather for visiting a view tower - but after we came back from shopping, the first blue spots appeared on the sky.

We went to Miesenbach via Weiz and Birkfeld (the part between Birkfeld and Weiz was new to me). In the last part the GPS of Alice was helpful - I did not have to stop and look on the map for the inn Wildwiesenwirt.

Although I was quite confident about the coordinates of the cache I had obtained already at home, we of course walked the suggested route - due to the fact that we started late and due to the snow which was still present in many parts, we decided to follow the moon route and not the longer sun route.

The informations provided on the tables along the route were very interesting - even Alice was not aware of some the facts reported there. While at some parts of the route, there was no snow at all, in some parts the snow was still quite deep and we were glad that in most cases there were tracks we could follow in order to avoid to sink down too much. A short part of the way along a logging road was very icy and not so pleasant to follow.

For me the highlight of the tour was the lookout tower. The view from there was fantastic although there were some clouds. I cannot believe how someone can manage to run up the tower in about 21 seconds - its height is 35 meters and there so many turns of the direction. I had a good laugh when I read the question about the leafs. Actually there are no leafs on the coat of arms at the top even if the objects to be counted might look like leafs for many people.

Fortunately there was no snow at all around the hiding place though there was still quite a lot of snow on the nearby paths. The cache was indeed very easy to find - the coordinates seemed to be quite ok. Alice saw the cache again quicker than me, but did not tell me the direction in which I had to look and a few seconds thereafter I saw the cache too. The box and its contents are in good condition.

Thanks for this very nice cache which along with the corresponding bonus cache motivated us to drive to Wildwiesen, a place where neither Alice nor myself have been before. I enjoyed the walk very much and I appreciated that the caches were easy to find.

Trotz verwandtschaftlicher Unterstützung konnten wir beim ersten Versuch nur die Spuren der Vorgängerteams, nicht aber den Cache finden (die Tatsache das ich zwei Zahlen nicht korrekt zusammenzählen konnte, hat vermutlich auch was damit zu tun gehabt).
Tags darauf durfte ich zwar einiges an Spurarbeit leisten, da ich mir in den Kopf gesetzt habe direkt und ohne Weg um Cacheversteck zu gehen, nach langer Suche war der Cache dann aber gefunden.
Trotz witterungsbedingter Widrigkeiten wars eine schöne Wanderung mit einen luftigen Höhepunkt.

Gefunden! Heut war ja auch ein zu schöner strahlendblauer Wandertag. Dass seit dem Verstecken des Caches 20 cm Schnee gefallen sind, hat das Finden allerdings nicht unbedingt erleichtert. Glücklicherweise trafen wir auf Gert und hoben den Schatz gemeinsam.
Für alle Winterwanderfreunde: Schuhwerk auf knietiefen Schnee abstimmen ;-)
