Vom Schloß Plankenwarth her kommend schnell gefunden. Da ich schon ziemlich abgekämpft und auch etwas in Zeitnot war, konnte ich mich mit dem Lindenkreuz selbst nicht mehr beschäftigen. Werde das aber bei Gelegenheit sicher nachholen.

Diesmal musste ich einen ziemlichen Abstieg in Kauf nehmen, um das Ziel zu erreichen. Die Kapelle liegt in totaler Einsamkeit und wirkte sehr geheimnisvoll. Immerhin brannte aber neben dem Eingang eine Kerze!
Danke für den Cache und fürs Entdecken dieses netten Platzerls.

Im Anschluß an Schloss Plankenwarth auch gleich noch das Lindenkreuz zu Fuß besucht. Dies hatte auch den angenehmen Nebeneffekt, dass ich so der Muggle-Bäurin ausweichen konnte, die anscheinend arglosen Cachern an den Parkplatzkoordinaten auflauert...

So tief im Wald vermutet man tatsächlich nicht eine so große Kapelle. Sehr stimmungsvoll.

Dank des Hints konnte sich die Dose nicht lange verbergen. Nettes Versteck...

Netter cache, habe leider das Lindenkreuz nicht gefunden - muss doch ganz nahe der Kapelle sein, oder? Vielleicht komm ich ja wieder einmal her (mit MTB downhill von Schloss Plankenwarth). TFTC.

Sehr netter Cache. Die plötzlich dastehende Kapelle hat uns sehr fasziniert.

Was für ein netter cache, hat mir viel Spass gemacht ihn mit den anderen gemeinsam zu suchen/finden. Wieder eine neue Gegend die ich noch nicht kannte, bin bisher nur zum Plankenwarth cache gekommen und nicht weiter.

Besonders gefreut hat mich natürlich auch die tolle Geocoin, die eine ganz schöne ist.

Fortunately, this cache can also be combined with a nice walk and need not be done by driving as close to it as possible. At first I considered to go by bike to Gratwein and approach the cache from below, but as I felt a bit tired from another physical activity, I decided to go by car to Plankenwarth and parked close to the castle. (Coming from Gratwein-Schirning, I would not have known where I could have left my car.)

It was a good decision to start in Plankenwarth as when I arrived there I saw a group of three people leaving and I recognized Deejay58. They did not see me, but I was confident to catch them although I needed some time before I could leave, in particular I needed to put on better shoes and take care not to forget the cache description and the TB and the geocoin I had brought with me.

After I short time I indeed met the group - it was nice to see Deejay58, j_blue and Auka again and to meet Leelah for the first time. Together we walked to the cache. At some point Auka disappeared and Deejay58 had to search for her. We split up, the female part continued the walk towards the cache while Deejay58 looked for Auka. To our surprise Auka, however, appeared suddenly out of the forest close to us and so we decided to walk back to Deejay58. From there we continued together to the cache.

Having arrived in the target area, we had to search for a while. The reception was jumpy and the hideout not very characteristic. Finally, it was j_blue who found the cache. After having logged, I had a look at the chapel. I had imagined it to look differently. I have never been before. Does anybody know details about the history of the chapel?

Deejay58 almost forgot Auka, but then we all five returned to our starting location via the same route we had taken to the cache. It was nice walk at a very sunny and incredibly warm December afternoon. I also enjoyed chatting with the Deejay58, j_blue and Leelah (who is indeed a young charming lady).

I still vividly remember my first December 8 spent with caching. It was back in 2002 when I made my second attempt to find the Schoecklhex cache and hiked up to the cache from Stattegg. There was snow and fog and it was many degrees colder than today. What a contrast!

Thanks for hiding the cache which showed me a nice location I have not been before. I am glad that there are still cachers who have resisted up to now to hide urban micro caches.

In: Unity Geocoin (I was happy that I met j_blue at the cache - so I could hand it over to her. Normally she does not get to see many geocoins as there use to be cachers who hunt for geocoins quite aggressively.)

PS: When reading the cache description, I realized once again how different the same situation can be perceived by different people. I would have never thought of saying that hiking paths start at the chapel - to me it seems to be located in the middle of several hiking routes. I'a rather think of the chapel as a destination and not as a starting point.

Left my bike at the suggested coordinates - I know them well, left my bike there last time while on the way to another nearby cache. After a short walk I quickly found the cache box. Thanks.

Hallo miteinander

Nachdem schon ein TB längerer zeit bei uns zuhause ist und es in Graz nur mehr micros gibt die wir noch nicht haben, bin ich schnell zu diesen Cache gefahren. Unterwegs Orotl mitgenommen.

Die Cache suche war doch etwas länger, lag aber an uns Suchern.

Am späteren Nachmittag von Plankenwarth aus zur Kapelle gewandert. Super Spazierweg. Die Kapelle hab ich noch nicht gekannt. Versteck schnell gefunden. Auf dem Rückweg Begegnung mit einer Schlange, weis leider nicht welche, war schon zu finster. Danke fürs Verstecken.
(Jetzt kenn ich übrigens schon zwei, die gerne Marmelade essen.)

Lindenkreuz

Gemeinsam mit Rabat dieses düstere Platzerl aufgesucht. Sein 60csx war noch am Satelliten suchen (seit dem Parkplatz) während ich den Cache gemütlich suchen und finden konnte [:D] Danke fürs Verstecken. TNLNS
