A rather nice somehow typical gebu-style cache. It was a nice tour together with fewo, fluch(t)punkt and zeith. Even though the weather forecast wasn't that great at all we had quite good weather and therefore a great view.

Schöne Tour an ein paar herrliche Aussichtspunkte. Bei S1 hätt ich gerne auch das Bärenloch besucht, aber ich habs leider nicht gefunden. Beschilderung existiert komischerweise auch keine.

TFTC NT

At the beginning I was quite sceptical whether I would be able to reach this cache despite my injured leg. An exchange of e-mails with gebu (thank you!) provided me with some information that encouraged me to give this cache a try.

We parked at the suggested parking lot and followed the trail starting there. Up to now I have never seen the waterfall at Stage 1 from that close. The way to Stage 1 was easier than I had expected in advance. We then went back to the marked trail and followed it for a while. Afterwards we followed other paths that led us almost to Stage 2 which was much easier to reach than I had expected in advance. The view at Stage 2 was very nice. Soon after Stage 2 the hardest part of this cache started. The ascent to the cache was more tiresome than I had expected it in advance - there was no snow today, but the foliage was very slippery.

In the target area something very strange happened. Alice was waiting for me at a location where her GPS-r showed a distance of 15m to the cache (then reception was good). While the long time it took me to reach the place where Alice was standing, her GPS changed its mind and suddenly showed a distance to the cache of more than 70m. So Alice decided to have a look at the area further down. Meanwhile I had switched on my old GPS-r and interestingly it showed to about the same place Alice's GPS-r had pointed out in the beginning. I then went to a gebu like place and found the cache. At this location the GPS-r of Alice then showed a distance of about 90m to the cache. Very strange.

The cache container and ints contents are in good condition.
The view at the final is fantastic and was a reward for the effort I had to put into reaching this cache. I was very glad that we found a way (by continuing to Gert's Ranerwand cache) to refrain from having to descent in the same way as we had reached the cache.

To me all three stages were new.

Thank you for this nice cache which would deserve more visitors. It is one of the easiest ones among gebu's caches in the Mixnitz area.


No trade

Nach der Röthelsteinpromenade trafen wir (RandomTox und ich) um etwa 11:15 in der Bärenschützklamm unser Supportteam um gemeinsam den Cache zu suchen.
Die Stage 1 kannte ich schon von einer früheren Inspektionstour und war schnell gefunden.
Weiter zu Stage 2, natürlich den unmarkierten Weg entlang, die Touristenmassen konnten wir auf der anderen Seite bewundern und hören...
Ich glaube der schreiende Mann war das Sinnbild von mir und RandomTox, wollten wir doch hier an diesem wunderschönen Platz auch einen Cache legen.
Weiter gings zum Cache, unser Supportteam wies uns perfekt den Weg.
Nach der wohlverdienten Pause trennten sich unsere Wege, ich nahm den direkten Weg zurück in die Klamm.

Noch ein kurzer Abstecher zur wohlbekannten Wasserquelle. Ich glaube die vorbeikommenden Touristen haben sich gewundert wie jemand nach den paar Metern zur Quelle schon so fertig, verschwitzt und dreckig sein kann, sich zur Quelle stürzt und sie fast leer trinkt [xx(]
Im Laufschritt zurück zum Parkplatz, es lagen ja eh nur mehr knapp 50km Fahrradstrecke nach Graz vor mir, ein *klacks* [xx(]
Knapp vor 19:00 holte mich nach Gratkorn dann noch ein Gewitter ein, was meine letzten (unvermuteten) Energien auftauchen liessen und mich im Rekordtempo nach Hause jagten.
War ein schöner Tag, danke gebu für den, eigentlich die netten Caches.
