Vor einem Monat mussten wir bei etwa der Hälfte aus Zeitgründen abbrechen, heute haben wir ihn dann fertig gemacht. Ein wunderschöner Spaziergang mit Fragen, so wie wir sie lieben. Stage 6 fiel zwar etwas aus der Reihe, die dazuehörenden Fragen waren aber echt gut. Das zuerst vermutete Final war von Muggels, die gerade ihre Mittagspause machten, belegt, doch da zeigte der GPSr Gott sei dank ein wenig weiter... Die Dose konnte mit ein wenig schauspielerischer Leistung von wilma leicht geborgen werden.

Nachdem ich schon for einiger Zeit mit dem City Walk angefangen habe, habe ich heute den schönen abend genutzt, um die letzten Stationen zu besuchen und den Cache zu heben.

Einige der Stages hab ich gekannt, andere waren widerum komplett neu für mich.
Vor allen bei der letzten Stage konnte ich mir ein kurzes Kopfschütteln nicht verkneifen :-)

Wir Deutschen in Graz.
Nach Empfehlung von RandomTox diesen Cache als erster angegangen. So zum Aufwärmen.
Haben gestern damit angefangen.
Waren - ohne Topo-Karte in der City.
Nach dem Fußaufstieg auf den Schlossberg den Cache angegangen. Nach Station (verrate ich nicht) ... , sollten wir wieder auf den Berg? - Ne heute nicht mehr.
Heute neu angegangen.
Dann relativ problemlos die restlichen Stationen abgearbeitet.
Das Final zielsicher angesteuert, gefunden.
Heben und Zurücklegen war wegen höherem Muggelaufkommen mit etwas geduldigem Warten verbunden.
Hat Spaß gemacht. Haben einiges von der Stadt kennengelernt.

... und der nächste lacht uns schon an

Gestern mit orion losgezogen und bis Stage 6 hats wunderbar geklappt. Doch dann wollten wir die Koords des 6erStage einfach nicht glauben, tja selber schuld wenn man dann an der falschen Stelle sucht. Beim Nachbesprechungsbier hat uns aber der Ehrgeiz gepackt und wir sind dann mit Fauchi zu den ausgerechneten hingefahren. Und dann hats wars eine Sache von 3 min. Großartige Freude, die nur durch unsere Besserwisserei einen kurzen Abbruch fand.

Die Stages selbst sind eigentlich recht klar - Nur bei Stage 1a ist momentan eine Baustelle. Die Werte können aber dennoch gefunden werden.

Schon zu Neujahr haben wir versucht, diesen Cache zu heben, bei Stage 4 ist uns dann allerdings das Licht ausgegangen. Anlässlich des Nachfolgecaches haben Lalex und ich uns heute wieder mal in die Stadt bequemt ("bequemt"! Minusgrade, keine Handschuhe!).

Bin froh, dass der Cachebehälter auf mindestens zwei weitere Caches schliessen lässt :-)

Der Cache zeigt (auch mit CW2), dass es in der Grazer Innenstadt noch Potential für nette Nicht-Beton-Caches gibt.

Brrr, spät abends bei saukalten Temperaturen dem Ruf LHs gefolgt.
Hat sich aber gelohnt, ist ein feiner Cache.
Nur bei Stage 2 sollte der Owner noch mal genauer suchen, vielleicht findet auch er das 2. Bundesland ;-)

Am späteren Nachmittag zusammen mit meiner E. und j_blue auf die Suche nach diesem Cache gegangen. Alle Stationen (bis auf die Letzte) haben wir (nicht immer Problemlos) gemeistert. Die letzte aber, hätten wir ohne Hilfe des Cacheowners heute um 1800 im Finstern nie gelöst (zumindestens ich nicht). Danke Rabat für die nette Hilfe und danke für den Cache.

Sehr schöne Tour durch Graz. Für mich waren einige bekannte Plätze, einige neue und ein paar schon fast wieder vergessene dabei. Die Stationen sind super gewählt!! Und heute hatten wir außerdem das Glück, bei lauen Temperaturen und ohne Schwierigkeiten (was bei uns ja nicht immer der Fall ist [;)]) unseren Fund zu loggen.

For me this cache was a really hard cache. I got stuck twice and finished the cache only today on my third attempt. Today I visited the last intermediary stage and the final cache.
Thanks to Julie_Wood I knew that the values for the variables I had obtained at the previous stages were all correct and that my troubles with the stage with the doors came from the fact that I am a mathematician. I will never get acquainted to that strange way of performing calculations.

Like at the stage with the clotheslines I had some troubles with my vision today at Stage 6 due to the darkness. I would have taken the correct value, however, by intuition anyway. For obtaining the coordinates of the cache, I had again to violate basic rules of mathematics to arrive at reasonable cooordinates. I was glad that the cache is located at a place where even my GPS-r has a reasonable reception. I found the cache quickly at the first place I inspected. It was much more difficult for me to open the container. It took me more than 5 minutes to succeed - I was already very angry about my clumsyness and lost all my patience. To make things worse I then managed to drop two
items as soon as I managed to open the container.

Stages 5 and 6 were not explicitely known to me, all other stages were well known to me.

Thank you for hiding this cache which motivated me to bring myself to dare something of which I had been very afraid of recently (cf. my note from November 18).

Ein Meliponini-DeeJay-Cache-Walk ohne eine einzige Schwierigkeit und ohne Rechenfehler und dann noch mit Sofort-Fund. Das gab es noch nie sollte in allen Kalendern, rot, als Feiertag markiert werden für die Zukunft.
Zum Cache: Mir hat dieser Rundgang seit sehr langer Zeit mal wieder richtig gut gefallen, für einen Grazer Cache. Es waren Orte und Details dabei, die ich entweder nicht kannte oder wo ich schon lange nicht mehr war. Der schöne Tag tat den Rest zur einem wirklich gelungenen Cachetag. Auka hat es auch Spaß gemacht übrigens - die ist ja eher selten bei Stadtcaches dabei.

Vielen Dank für den Cache, getauscht hab ich nix, weil mein mitgebrachter Gegenstand zu groß war.

Today I planned to finish off this cache which I had started on Sunday. Stage 4 was easy and well-known to me. Stage 5 caused me some troubles as I had mixed up the parts behind the comma of the latitude and of the longitude. (Interestingly, the wrong coordinates for Stage 5 led me to a place related in some way to Stage 1 - that's why it took me a while to realize my mistake).

Most of the time I had no reception at all and so it was not easy to arrive at the correct Stage 5. Moreover, it was not that easy for me to count the clotheslines as it was dark.

The values I obtained at that stage left me behind quite helpless as the cooordinates I obtained for Stage 6 seemed quite strange to me. I decided to ride to my candidate for Stage 6, but at about 100 m distance (as the crow flies) I had to realize that I had used the wrong approach. A GPS with a map would have saved me this detour. As soon as I knew where my candidate location is located,
it then seemed very unlikely to me that I had the correct coordinates for Stage 6. That's why I decided to break off this cache a second time and to write another mail to the hiders of the cache. As it turned out this time I failed because I am a mathematician.

Despite the bad weather (snow) I decided to start off for this cache. I went by bicycle close to Stage 0 to overcome my currently very strong inhibitions to ride a bicycle when the ground might be slippery. I had no problems at this stage. I then continued to Stage 1 which I had guessed already in advance. I did not realize that there existed a second way to interpret the definition of the variable C and took what turned out to be the wrong value.

Stage 2 took me a lot of courage and for that reason it constituted the personal highlight of this cache for me. The stage was already known to me. Due to the slippery ground it took me quite long until I arrived at what I expected to be Stage 3. I was glad and a little bit proud after having arrived safely at Stage 3.

The reception at what I suspected to be Stage 3 was horrible and I wondered about different types of golden items, but could not find a convincing solution which would have led me to the coordinates I had in mind for Stage 4 (I had quite a precise idea about the location of that stage). Since my GPS does not have a map, I had to visit the candidate coordinates I had obtained for Stage 4 to check whether they would lead me to a meaningful location. The reception was again horrible. Most of the time I had no fix at all. After some time I lost my motivation and moreover, it got quite fresh and dark and so I decided to call it a day.

After writing to Rabat who was so kind to check my values it turned out that I had taken a wrong value for C. As a consequence thereof Rabat reformulated the question leading to C turning it into an unambigious question. As I know Stage 1 quite well it was not necessary for me to revisit Stage 1. I could skip Stage 3 as well as I could easily guess that stage as soon as I had the correct coordinates.

Neue Start Koordinaten + Stage 0 damit der Cache GC tauglich ist. jetzt sollte alles stimmen.

After stage 1 I got a call from Rabat that some value at stage 2 is wrong and that someone else is already on his way for this cache.. Shortly afterwards I met Wild-Wuggis, and we continued together.
Long story made short, after finding another mistake in the description the owner decided to accompany us to the final stage. Wild-Wuggis did all the calculations and I enjoyed the low temperatures (not).
Found the cachebox within seconds. TNLN, thanks.
