Found The geocache needs maintenance. 04 September 2023 Hynz found the geocache

Preliminary remark: I selected "benötigt Wartung" (needs maintenance) because the header coordinates as well the final are currently not legally accesable due to construction works.

Today Erice was covered in clouds and it was almost cold. I love Multis so I was quite disappointed to discover that apparently Stage1 is currently not legally accessible. But after playing a bit with some numbers (thankfully the formula is quite redundant Zwinkernd) I calculated a in my opinion perfect coordinate a bit outside of Erice. After strolling through that beautiful village I headed to that place. Approaching the area I had a great view and at the coordinates I even found a rather fitting hiding infrastructure. So I spent a considerate time searching for the cache until I discovered an important but overlooked detail in the description in that the final is supposed to be close to the header Verlegen. And indeed there was a second fitting coordinate close to the header (and within the closed area) which I ignored in my euphora. Even the first part of the hint now immediately made some sense. So I headed back to the header and since nobody was around I ignored the closure and after some searching I indeed found the white micro with the yellow logstrip (apparently a throwdown placed silently in March 2022). Grazie.

For the last cache in Sicily I visited Erice. A fascinating small town! The data for the cache I found already at home, I only needed to find it. Look under the right edge of green stuff :) I am another thankful GCer for such a size of the cache in urban location.

A small correction of the hint: This is not a loophole and has nothing to do with shooting/defence. It is actually a putlog hole: (visit link)

OC91E5 = GC1Y50Q

Trollmond
