Nierstein is not only known because of his famous winemakera and vineyards but was also known to brewer because of the malthouse "Niersteiner Mälzerei".
Some time ago the malthouse was closed and the buildings knocked down.
Only the loading crane on the River Rhine is left now. It was used to vacuum the brewing barley from the ships and transport it through an underground pipeline along the Rheinstrasse to the malthouse.
Please don't enter the loading crane.

Genau einen Tag vor Publish stand ich noch mit dem Rad an der Großbaustelle und habe die Bauarbeiten bewundert. Seit dem hat es etwas gedauert, bis ich wieder mal nach Nierstein gekommen bin. Aber das konnte ich heute nachholen. Interessante Stelle!

Dem Geruch nach war die Toilettenbenutzung auf dem Weinfest ziemlich teuer. Der Cache selbst ist aber gut versteckt und völlig sauber und trocken [:)]!

Hier konnte ich mich heute als 3ter in das Logbuch eintragen.
Die Dose konnte Dank guter GPS Daten schnell gefunden werden.
Wünsche der Dose ein lages Leben und den Cachern beim
zurücklegen eine ruhige Hand.

Auf dem Nachhauseweg hier einen Stopp eingelegt und insgeheim gehofft, der Erste zu sein.
Ohne die Physiotherapie davor hätte es wahrscheinlich noch gepasst. So war ich eine halbe Stunde zu spät.
Mal schauen, wie lange das Gebilde noch hier steht. Eine Bereicherung für das Ortsbild ist das ja nicht unbedingt.
