This cache guides you to the Kaulsdorf Lakes, a small environmental conservation area in the east of Berlin. Here the Berlin glacial valley meets the Barnim Plateau.
The cache is placed at Lake Habermann ("Habermannsee") which is announced as a great swimming lake by many websites and even local newspapers (and so it is used by residents). But as a matter of fact it is located in a water protection area where swimming is generally forbidden. In the evening there might be a vast number of fishers around the lakes.
The trails in this area are not paved, so depending on the weather you might like to wear sturdy shoes. If you like to enjoy a small walk you can enter the area from the north and walk around the western lakeshore of the northernmost lake ("Butzer See"), if you're in a hurry take the path from the parking area.
From Mo. - Sa. the Bus 398 goes from S-Station Mahlsdorf or from U-Station Elsterwerder Platz to Kressenweg, a stop north of the area.

War unser zweiter Cache. Lieben Dank ideal zum Einstieg, wir werden es als Familie weitermachen. Haben eine chinesisches Plättchen und Ring reingetan. Rausgenommen : Stein mit Maßband.

Zunächst waren wir wohl auf der falschen Seite des Wassers, dann - nach einem kleinen Umweg - konnte wir aber schnell zugreifen.
Der See war zugefroren, allerdings knackte das Eis verdächtig. Da aber halb Mahlsdorf zum Schlittschuhlaufen auf dem Eis war, haben wir es auch kurz gewagt.

Heute haben wir hier eine ausgedehnte, fast muggelfreie Runde gedreht. Dabei konnte sich auch diese kleine Dose nicht lange vor uns verstecken.
